Welcome to Rainbow Ridge Farms
We began our adventure in 1996, when we moved here from Washington DC. Neither of us had any real farm experience, so it was a lot of on-the-job learning! We started with two Saanen wethers and soon added a couple of angora wethers and a baby ram lamb. After I learned about fainting goats, I had to add them to our herd. Our herd continued to expand with pygmy goats. We became active in the La Crosse County 4-H program and that was where our love of dairy goats began. We have been raising and showing dairy goats since 2003. We go to an average of 4 shows per year and in 2010, we made our debut at the ADGA National Show in Louisville KY.
This year we participated in Linear Appraisal and were the first goat herd on DHIR in LaCrosse County.
We have been raising sheep since 1997. We've had several breeds, but have fallen in love with the Mock registered Olde English Babydoll Southdowns. We just love their smiling faces. We have both black and white sheep.
